- W835374190 abstract "ABSTRACT In order to design suitable geo-structures in cold region, it is generally required to consider the mechanical properties of permafrost soils. ‘Frost heave’ as one of the primary phenomenon is considered to be an important factor together with ‘adfreeze bond-strength’ and ‘creep deformation’ for structural design process in permafrost area. Therefore, the fundamental study for frost heave has to be preceded for design of geo-structures in cold region. While various experimental apparatuses have been developed, there still exist a certain level of limitation to evaluate the frost-heave characteristics as design parameters. In this paper, a new type of experimental apparatus is proposed to evaluate the engineering characteristics of frost heave in permafrost soils and a set of verification test results is presented. Based on the verification tests, the proposed apparatus is a suitable to obtain frost characteristics of soils. 요 지 극한지에 적합한 지반구조물의 설계를 위해서는 일반적으로 영구동토지반의 공학적 특성에 대한 고려가 필요하다 . 동상현상은 가장 대표적인 동토지반의 공학적 특성으로 , 구조물 설계에 있어서 동착 및 크리프 현상과 함께 주요한 설계정수로서 고려된다. 그러므로 극한지 지반구조물 설계에 관한 연구를 위해서는 동상현상에 대한 기초적 연구가 선행되어야 한다 . 이미 다양한 동상 관련 실험장비가 개발되어 연구에 활용되고 있지만 , 기존의 동상 연구를 위한 실험장비들은 기초의 설계정수로서 동상현상을 분석하기에는 한계점이 나타난다고 판단된다 . 따라서 본 논문에서는 동상현상을 비롯하여 토사의 동결현상을 보다 면밀히 분석할 수 있도록 개발된 실내 동결 실험장비를 소개하고, 장비의 활용성을 검증하기 위한 실내실험 결과를 제시한다. 검증 실험결과로부터, 개발된 고효율 동결실험장비의 다양한 동결현상 모사성능과 동상시험에의 활용 가능성을 검증하였다 .Keywords : Frost heave, Permafrost, Cold region한국토목섬유학회논문집 제10권 4호 2011년 12월 pp. 93 ∼ 103J.
