- W83679911 abstract "In general, compounds consisting of a central atom connected to two halogens and two other heteroatoms that can be nitrogen, chalcogens, other group V elements, metalloids, main group metals, transition metals, and any combination of these, are extremely rare. Compounds with two oxygen atoms such as bis(fluoroxy)difluoromethane, difluorodioxirane, and 2,2-difluoro-1,3-dioxolanes are well documented. A few cyclic and noncyclic dichloro analogs exist. Most compounds with two sulfur atoms are also difluoromethanes. There are quite a few dichloro, dibromo, and diiodomethylbis(alkyl or arylsulfonyl) derivatives. Dihalogenomethanes with nitrogen and oxygen or sulfur are relatively few, e.g., difluoro- and dichloro-oxaziridines. Difluoromethanes bearing benzenethio and trimethylsilyl or benzenesulfonyl and trimethylsilyl were not studied thoroughly. Dihalogenobis(diamines) exist in all forms (both linear and cyclic, dihalogenodinitromethanes) are also known. Cyclic gem-diamines come in the form of 1,3-imidazolidines, 1,3-diazolines, and 1,3,5-triazolinanes. Bis(phosphonates) have been studied extensively, both linear and cyclic derivatives. Several examples of compounds with two halogens, a nitrogen, and a metalloid function are known. The group with two halogens and two silicon functions comprise both linear and cyclic carbosilanes. For example, difluoro-, dichloro-, and dibromomethylbis(trimethylsilanes) together with five-membered ring 1,3-disilacyclopentanes'and six-membered 1,3,5-trisilacyclohexanes are well documented. There are two examples of complexes where a difluoromethyl bridge is connected to two iron functions." @default.
