- W87126186 abstract "Organic calcium-channel blockers, in particular the dihydropyridine (DHP) class, have been extremely useful as therapeutic agents and as probes for structure-function studies. One example that was important to our present work on calcium channels was the observation that guanine nucleotides changed DHP binding in cell-free membrane preparations [1, 2]. This pointed to a possible direct G-protein effect on calcium channels, and we have recently proved this to be the case [3–5]. Over the past several years, we have used DHPs in numerous other studies, and this review summarizes our results.KeywordsCalcium ChannelCalcium CurrentWait Time DistributionNeuronal Calcium ChannelNormal Tyrode SolutionThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
