- W886429596 abstract "There is no squabble that workers’ attitudes play an imperative and noteworthy role in the scenario of developing economical organizations in any context. The severity of the impact of the workers attitudes might obliterate the whole economical system of a country. As a significant element in the organizational management forum, workers’ attitudes are a common topic for discussion in many academic as well as practical forums. All these common discussions address the attitudes of organizational workers and its impact on other concepts such as organizational performance, efficiency etc. However, there are no theoretical and empirical evidences to point out to the contextual impact of workers’ attitudes towards jobs & their organizations and whether it is individual orientation or collective orientation. Therefore, the researcher tried to find out the contextual impact of workers’ attitudes towards the jobs & their organizations and whether there is an orientation of individualism or pluralism. Considering four different economical sectors in Sri Lanka, 600 workers were selected randomly for the study and a closed ended questionnaire was used to gather primary data. The external reliability of the question statements were between 0.752 and 0.946 range. Basically univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysises were used to analyse the primary data. The findings of the study are: there is no view of pluralism to the workers’ attitudes in the Sri Lankan context. A significant view of the workers’attitude is oriented to individualism in the apparel industry in the Sri Lankan scenario.Then, the conclusion of the study is that attitudes are to be considered as views of individualism rather than as pluralism.
