- W89679063 abstract "Obejective: To explore the effects of Huangqi Shixiao Powder on ICAM-1、VCAM-1 expression HUVECs exposed to oxidized low-density lipoprotein (OX-LDL) and atherosclerotic (AS) rats. Methods: The atherosclerosis (AS) animal model was established in SD rats by high grease food feeding and VitD3 injection except the control group. The 48 male SD rats were randomly divided into control group, model group, Fluvastatin group, low-dose Huangqi Shixiao Powder group, mid-dose Huangqi Shixiao Powder group, high-dose Huangqi Shixiao Powder. Twelve weeks later, JCAM-1、VCAM-1 were detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in rat aorta. The HUVECs were primary cultured. HUVECs from third to sixth generations were randomly divided into control group (model group, Fluvastatin group, low-dose Huangqi Shixiao Powder group, mid-dose Huangqi Shixiao Powder group, high-dose Huangqi Shixiao Powder) and stimulated with OX-LDL for six hours. then HUVECs were cultured with Drug-contained serum for 48 hours. The ICAM-1、VCAM-1 were detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in HUVECs. Results: The high-dose Huangqi Shixiao Powder can significantly inhibit ICAM-1. VCAM-1 expression in HUVECs exposed to oxidized low-density lipoprotein (OX-LDL) and aorta of atherosclerotic rats. Huangqi Shixiao Powder has a concentration-dependent inhibition effect in HUVECs injured by OX-LDL. Conclusion: Huangqi Shixiao Powder has anti-atherogenic effect due to inhibit the expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1." @default.
