- W908923067 abstract "2503 Objectives Vendors are providing new reconstruction algorithms (NRA) to shorten SPECT acquisition time. Depending on the installed version of AutoQuant program used for myocardial SPECT quantitative analysis, the program does not contain the normal database to which the NRA was applied. The purpose of this study was to compare the quantification results across AutoQuant versions in myocardial SPECT to which the NRA and Half-Time scan (HT) was applied. Methods Rest and stress data of 80 patients were collected and the HT acquisition and ASTONISH software (NRA) were applied. Modified AutoQuant using SNUH database and the old version of AutoQuant (Full-time scan) provided by the company were compared. Comparison groups were classified as coronary artery disease (CAD), 24 hrs delay patients and almost normal patients with simple chest pain. Perfusion distribution aspect, Summed Stress Score (SSS), Summed Rest Score (SRS), extent and Total Perfusion Deficit (TPD) of 25 patients in each group were compared and evaluated. Results When using modified AutoQuant (HT) with CAD, SSS and SRS were reduced about 30% (p Conclusions This study started with the expectation that results could be affected by the normal database because normality can differ by race and gender. It was found that the combination of the new reconstruction algorithm for reducing scan time and the analytic program based on a different normal database could also affect the quantification results. Clinical usefulness of gated myocardial SPECT is possibly increased if each hospital properly collects a normal database for their scan protocol.
