- W92364992 abstract "ABSTRACT Treatment of male rats with photoheptachlor (24-hr LD-50 = 3.4 mg/kg) at 1 mg/kg or lower dosages for several weeks caused about 27% increase in liver weight to body wt ratios. Microsomal cytochrome P-450 was increased by about 20%, while ratios of 0- and N-demethylations of, respectively, p-nitroanisole (PNA) and aminopyrine (AP) by MFO were almost doubled. Ethylisocyanide caused a two-fold increase in the ratio of 455 nm to 430 nm peak. The AHH and 7-ethoxycoumarin deethylation were increased only slightly. The specific rate of aniline (A) hydroxylation almost doubled at lower dosages but was normal at higher dosages. Electron microscopic observations revealed the proliferation of smooth endoplasmic reticulum similar to that caused by other cyclodienes and barbiturates. There was an increase in the multilaminated myelin bodies and a decrease in glycogen. Lysosomes were not present in the treated hepatocytes." @default.
