- W92880232 abstract "2025 Objectives The purpose of this study was to estimate the optimal gates number for lung tumor localization using estimated internal motion. Methods Internal motion has been demonstrated in small animal lung region by coated molecular sieve. Molecular sieve for internal lung motion target was contained approximately 37 kBq F-18. The PET/CT image obtained with a dedicated small animal PET scanner (InveonTM) using respiratory motion monitoring system (BioVet, m2m Imag. Corp.). Rat PET images were obtained at 60 min post injection of FDG 37 MBq/0.2 mL via tail vein. Breathing signals were collected and converted to trigger signals. Each line of response in the list-mode data was histogramed the various gated frames (2 - 16 bin) by respiratory trigger event. The acquired emission data was reconstructed using OSEM 2D. In PET image analysis, SUV and SNR were drawn in the target region. The motion compensation PET image for optimal gate number was confirmed by vertical and horizontal FWHM. Results The motion target molecular sieve size was 1.5 mm × 2.5 mm. The reference motion target FWHM of vertical and horizontal was 2.9 mm and 1.4 mm, respectively. The vertical FWHM of static, 4 bin and 8 bin was 3.8 mm, 3.7 mm and 3.1 mm, respectively. The horizontal FWHM of static, 4 bin and 8 bin was 2.2 mm, 2.0 mm and 1.5 mm, respectively. The FWHM was improved overall according to increase number of gates. SUV of static, 4 bin, 8 bin, 12 bin and 16 bin was 4.0, 4.8, 5.5, 5.3 and 5.3, respectively. SUV was generally increased by adding gates number. The SNR value of static, 4 bin, 8 bin, 12 bin and 16 bin was 4.1, 4.0, 4.2, 3.8 and 3.5, respectively. The 8 gated bin number was most similar to reference target FWHM and increased SUV with preserve SNR. Conclusions Internal motion correction with molecular sieve at 8 gate number provide good result of lung tumor localization. The internal motion estimation will be a useful method for motion prediction modeling of internal organ motion" @default.
