- W943336265 abstract "Taking the pedestrian flow characteristics (PTF) as the object, the authors summarize the history and current development research. The future development trend is also analyzed. Firstly, the data collection methods of PTF were analyzed. Secondly, the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of the PTF were summarized; the microscopic characteristics of PTF are a natural show to the macroscopic properties. The results indicate that, (1) during to the influence of some factors such as infrastructure properties, environmental characteristics, and the different objective conditions, the fundamental diagrams for pedestrian traffic flow are different. (2) PTF has significant personalized features, such as the diversification of travel purpose, the self-organization in the travel behavior, the avoidance of travel process, and so on. (3) The future research trend of concern will include the data collection methods of pedestrian traffic flow, pedestrian traffic simulation, and pedestrian traffic modeling and empirical." @default.
