- W954893119 abstract "Influence of contact time, particle size,pH and temperature on removal of ammonium and phosphate with expanded vermiculite were studied by static adsorption method to assess its capacity of simultaneous removal of ammonium and phosphate under the condition of ammonium and phosphate coexisting. Results showed that expanded vermiculite has a good capacity of simultaneous removal of ammonium and phosphate. Under the conditions of pH 7,temperature 25℃,1.00g sorbent particles in 80~100 mesh was chosen to treat 100mL simulated wastewater of NH4+-N 50mg/L and PO43--P 10mg/L, after 4h sorption, removal efficiency of NH4+-N and PO43--P were 79.4% and 93.0% respectively, with adsorption process characterized as high speed adsorption and deceleration adsorption. The best suitable pH value for removal of ammonium was neutral,it is beneficial to removal of phosphate when pH was acidic or alkali. With the increase of temperature, removal efficiency of ammonium decreased while that of phosphate increased. Adsorption isotherm of ammonium and phosphate on expanded vermiculite were adequately represented by Langmuir equation." @default.
