- W955958776 abstract "The author reviews the viewpoints of some authors who show psycho-social-analytical tendencies regarding institutional dynamics and psychopathology, all of which is summed up in this chapter. Pioneering attempts in Europe were made in the Tavistock Institute in London, starting with Jacques' work, which was based on Bion's conception of group dynamics, and in the last instance on Melanie Klein's work on the development of psychism of the baby. Kurt Kewin's work had more influence on North American authors. In France the Kaes School has been very important. This work is discussed more thoroughly, and it adds proposals and interest to the work of the previous authors. Really, attempts at institutional psychotherapy have not been as successful as might have been expected, if we bear in mind the valuable theorical considerations reviewed. All of this leads us to believe that, although in the future it will be useful to count on a taxonomy of organizational pathology, it will be very distant from the typologies contributed by psychoanalytical diagnosis if this diagnosis does not manage to carry out empirically measurable proposals." @default.
