- W958364021 abstract "Morphofunctional characteristics of the young dancers (8-years old) at the stage of initial training have been described. Morphological and functional characteristics of the young dancers were obtained by comparing their data with the control group of school students of the same age who are not engaged in sports dances, having the recreational motor activity of interest two or three times a week. By using the somatometric methods the total and girth body size, diameters of shoulder and femur, thigh skinfold, vital lung capacity, carpal dynamometry, chest excursion, relative carpal dynamometry, height-weight ratio, body mass index, muscle capacity to differentiate effort have been defined. By using the test N.A. Bondarevsky and A.I. Yarotsky trial the equilibrium, functions and level of vestibular stability have been investigated. Following the procedure of Heath-Carter the somatotype of the young dancers and school students have been determined, comparative analysis and evaluation of the somatotype of children have been surveyed by the endomorph, mesomorph and ectomorph indicators. Correlations between somatotype of the young dancers and their morphofunctional characteristics have been revealed. It is necessary to consider the individual and typological characteristics of the young dancers in the training process, in particular, indicators of physical development and somatotype." @default.
