The mechanical behaviour under environmental conditions is crucial to the future applications. Aging effects can not only change the appearance of hemp fibres but also decrease its mechanical properties. This study is to characterize the mechanical behaviour of original fibres and moisture aging fibres by means of a micro tensile test. The moisture aging in an aging test machine is to simulate and accelerate the natural ageing. The influence of humidity aging on the mechanical properties of hemp fibres is investigated. The microscope analysis, the change of weight and the change of width allow to completely understand the mechanism of moisture aging.
