- W965815646 abstract "As revolutionary theories in the 20th and the present century, Heidegger's existentialism, Driedar's deconstructionism and Gadamer's philosophic exegesis have been magnetically attracted vast numbers of readers with their banner of breaking away from metaphysics, novel frameworks and enlightening views. Especially Gadamer's theory keeps fascinating broad readers by taking understanding and explanation as the fundamental situation of human existence and by expounding understanding and interpreting behavior with his view of dialogue. In the meantime, however, an agnostistic tendency that underlies these revolutionary theories presents great dilemma to the academic world. A comparison of the agnostistic tendency in Heidegger's, Driedar's and Gadamer's philosophic thinking with Marxist dialectic and historical materialism shows that the latter is more logical theoretically. Marxism also breaks away from metaphysics, but adopts dialectics, the reasonable core of Hegel's philosophy, namely, of metaphysic tradition. Just a few years ago, two eminent Western magazines valued Marx and Einstein twice as the two greatest thinkers and scientists through the 19th and the 20th century, which shows that the West has realized the partiality and limitation of the above-mentioned theories." @default.
