- W970697341 abstract "Objective To study the expression of ovarian tumor marker CA125 and tumor proliferating antigen Ki-67 in epithelial ovarian tumor tissue and to analyze their relationship and clinical significance. Methods 113 patients with epithelial ovarian tumor were examined by immunohistochemical staining method to detect the expression of CA125 and Ki-67. Results There was a significant difference in the expression of CA125 between mucinous tumors and non-mucinous tumors (P＜0.01). The expression of Ki-67 had no significant difference in different kinds of ovarian tumors (P＞0.05). The expressive intensity of CA125 and Ki-67 was significantly higher in malignant tumors than in benign and borderliner tumors (P＜0.05). In the malignant tumor group, the expressive intensity of both antigens was also higher in clinical stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ, pathological grade 2 and 3 than in clinical stage Ⅱ, pathological grade Ⅰ. The expression of CA125and Ki-67 had significant correlation (P＜0.05). Conclusion The expressive intensity of CA125 and Ki-67 relates to the character of tumors. CA125 and Ki-67 may serve as indications of clinical prognosis for ovarian tumors. Using immunohistochemical stain-ing method to detect CA125 in primary carcinoma tissue can help to analyze the significance of serum CA125 when it is used as a follow-up marker after operation." @default.
