- W976782617 abstract "The aim of the experiment was to determined the most common coccidia existing in slaughter turkey farms based on the shape and sizes of oocysts and their morphology. Studies were carried out on 6 turkey farms having from 2-8 turkey houses, located in the Dolny Śląsk and Wielkopolska regions. The monitoring covered a total of 28 turkey houses. The findings indicated that the turkeys were infected with three species of corcidia: E. meleagrimitis, E. adenoides and E. dispersa. In 46% of the cases (13 farms) the birds were infected with E. meleagrimitis and E. adenoides); in 32% cases (9 farms) the presence of three species of coceidia was recorded and in 21.4% turkey houses (6 farms) only E. meleagrimitis was isolated. The most common coccidia were: E. meleagrimits (71.1%); E. adenoides (28,5%); E. dispersa (14.3%)." @default.
