- W995587555 abstract "Objective To determine the effects of inflammatory, cytokines TNF-α, IL-6 and NO on the pathogenesis in patients with severe viral hepatitis (SH) complicated by renal impairment in course of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP-RI) and their significanes. Methods The levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and NO in sera and ascites were detected by radioimmunoassay (RIA) and colorimetric from 30 patients, including SBP-RI 11 cases and no SBP-RI 19 cases. Results The levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and NO in sera and ascites in patients with SBP-RI were significantly higher than those with no SBP-RI (P＜0.05), Among 30 cases of SH with SBP, 15 cases were cured, 10 cases died (8 cases died of SBP-RI, 2 cases died of hepatic encephalopathy), 5 cases gave up treatment. The morbidity of SBP-RI was 37.6% (11/30), the mortality was 72.7% (8/11). The original levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and NO in sera and ascites of those who died were significantly higher than those of survivals (P＜0.05). Conclusion The results showed TNF-α, IL-6 and NO were closely associated with the degree of hepatocyte necrosis, endotoxemia and SBP-RI. To detect the changes of TNF-α、IL-6 and NO in sera and ascites which can be used as an index for early diagnosing and predicting prognosis." @default.
