Se verifico la presencia de AgSD por medio de espestroscopia infrarroja (ATR- FTIR) y se realizo un ensayo de desempeno que permitiera determinar el efecto antibacteriano que produce sobre un cultivo de Staphylococcus aureus. Los resultados indican que la AgSD se integro a la matriz de PVA pero ademas fue liberado matando esta colonia bacteriana, por lo que estas matrices poseen gran potencialidad en el control de la sepsis para el tratamiento de quemaduras. EnglishThis work proposes the production of matrices from polyvinyl alcohol hydrogels (PVA) loaded with an antibacterial agent as Silver Sulfadiazine (AgSD) which is long used in treatment of infections caused by skin burns. These hydrogels were obtained by physical method of cryogenization. Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) was used to confirm the remained antibacterial AgSD inside the matrices as well as a biologic assay was done to show the antibacterial effect of AgSD against a Staphylococcus aureus strain. These results proved that AgSD remained inside the hydrogel but also was released to the environment to kill the bacterial colony, that is why, these matrices could have a potential in sepsis control in burns." @default.
