The minimal set of markers required to distinguish this cell type from other cell types in the primary motor cortex is Rorb, A830036E02Rik and Kcnh5 (F-beta = NA), per differential expression analysis based on proportion of cells expressing these genes. L4/5 IT cells represent 29.06% of all Glutamatergic cells collected in the snRNA-seq 10X v3 B dataset. L4/5 IT cells have an average of 4676 genes detected, which is 437 less than the average for all Glutamatergic cells (5113). The average normalized cortical depth of L4/5 IT cells is 0.388, compared to an average of 0.527 for all Glutamatergic cells.
